PFM Board Member Meets Kevin Boss
Kevin Boss, tight end for the NY Giants runs a contest for fans to write him a note about what they are grateful for. One of our board members, Jerry Furciniti decides to type an email and enter the contest.
Needless to say Jerry and his family won the contest and were chosen to go to a Giants game, stay over night, and go to dinner with Kevin Boss and his family.
Here is a sampling of the email that Jerry wrote to Kevin:
“I’m 34 and over the past few years my wife and I have had a remarkable journey. We have struggled with infertility for years. Infertility is an incredibly isolating and painful struggle.
The struggle to start a family really shakes you to the core- it’s one of the most basic elements of life.
We are now proud adoptive parents of a little boy from S. Korea. Words cannot adequately describe how lucky we are to have him in our lives.
I am thankful that I now have the opportunity to pay our good fortune forward to other couples. I recently started working with a non-profit that provides emotional and financial support to couples working to build their families. I firmly believe that a loving home should be the main prerequisite to start a family, not the tens of thousands of dollars for fertility treatments and adoption.
I’m hoping that our story will help others find their resolve and realize that they are not alone.”

2010 Grant Recipients
PFM awarded its first grants to 4 couples through out the US for a total of $12,000. Two couples are pursuing adoption and two are pursing assisted reproductive technology. Thank you to everyone who made this accomplishment possible.
